A Long Time Ago…
Friends since 6th grade, artists for life, Josh and Mike began their partnership when a mutual friend invited Mike to act in Josh’s monster movie in 1994.
The two continued on their filmmaking journey through Columbia College Chicago, both graduating with a film production degree in 2005.
After touring the freelance market in Chicago for a few years, Josh and Mike felt it was time to take their business into their own hands.
Founded in 2011, Paper Star Video emerged from Josh and Mike’s high bar for creative excellence, artistic integrity, and technical prowess.
Paper Star Video has worked on feature films, network television, short films, national commercials, social media, and of course, industrial video.
On their journey Josh and Mike have met incredibly talented artists whom they are now proud to call friends.
We are firm believers that a jack of all trades may be a master of none,
but a jack of all trades is better than a master of one.
Katharin (everyone calls me K) Mraz is the proud owner of Ladie K Productions, Inc., Smart Pretty Designs, Inc., and Creative Works Media, Inc. Adopted from South Korea at the age of 2, she's been involved in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, working both sides of the camera as a filmmaker, actress, model, photographer and writer.
Her mission is to bring attention to POC, LGBTQ, women, immigrants, and those less-represented in the media by creating better content with richer stories. She believes by bringing fresh and progressive perspectives to audiences, one has the power to change the minds of the future. K is also a writer for REELChicago/REEL360, student and per- former at The Second City, home chef, animal lover, and mother.
In her spare time, she volunteers for a Korean Adoptee Suicide Prevention Non-For- Profit, The Gide Foundation, as KAD Town Square's Head of Marketing, Social Media, and Communications.
